As we continue to grow our Psychiatric Oncology Program, we are seeking a compassionate and collaborative Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Supportive Oncology team. Supportive Oncology is an integral part of the St. Luke's Cancer Institute philosophy that healing comes from caring for the whole person, not just the disease.

In this role, the Psych-Oncology RN will provide essential support through patient triage, symptom management, care coordination, treatment education, and follow up care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patients and support providers with oncology and mental health patient care, treatment management, and coordination of services across the continuum of care
• Partner closely with an interdisciplinary team including physicians, advanced practice providers, navigators, pharmacists, patient financial advocates, and other specialists to deliver exceptional patient-centered care
• Provide education, guidance, and emotional support to patients and families regarding cancer treatment plans, symptom management, and available resources
• Assist with patient assessments, including vital signs and laboratory results, to help develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans

Position Details:

• Full-time (0.9 FTE): day shift schedule no nights, weekends, or St. Luke's observed holidays
• Schedule: Four 9-hour shifts per week
• Primary work location is at SLCI Boise, with regular coverage at the SLCI Meridian (approx. one day a week)
• Sign-on bonus available for eligible new hires!
• Certification pay available (e.g. OCN)

Qualifications:

• Education: Nursing Degree
• Experience: One (1) + years' RN experience
• Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice AND Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Health & Safety Institute
• Preferred: Behavioral Health and/or Oncology experience
