Job Summary:
Specialty Registered Nurse (RN) in Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) located in New York. This position involves providing critical care to adult patients in a state-of-the-art ICU that features both cardiac and intermediary step-down units. The job requires working night shifts, floating to stepdown or medical-surgical units if necessary, and serving patients directly transferred from the operating room with cardiac surgery experience.

Job Details:

• Location: Schenectady, NY
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shift, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, New York State nursing license, a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience with at least 1 year in cardiovascular specialty, cardiac surgery experience including CABG surgeries, Valve surgeries, Swan Ganz catheter management, and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) procedures, prior travel experience preferred but not required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cardiac surgery patients and skills, such as handling patients in shock requiring hemodynamic monitoring, vascular, thoracic, and cardiac surgery patients, and those with acute respiratory conditions needing mechanical ventilation.
• Additional Information: Floating to stepdown and/or medical-surgical units is required. The ICU has 24 beds dedicated to critical care and 12 hybrid step-down beds. The facility is designed to care for critically ill adults, featuring cardiac ICU rooms with operating room-quality lighting. The ICU is conveniently located near radiology, emergency department, operating rooms, and cardiac catheterization suite.
