Travel Med-Surg Registered Nurse - $2,300 per week

Express Healthcare Staffing Travel is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Smyrna, Tennessee.

Job Description & Requirements

Beds: 54; 11 beds on a busy and dedicated ortho/spine unit. Patient Ratios: 1:5-6 for RNs; 1:12-15 for PCTs; RN/LPN team would have 10 total. Each hall has 2-3 RNs/1 LPN (as staffing/census allows) and 1-2 PCTs. Patient Experience requirements: At least 1 year of RN experience. Patient Break Down: all medical-surgical patients, orthopedic and spine patients on the designated floor, trauma patients, psych medical hold patients,Certifications: BLS, ACLS (optional), active RN license.Must have: 1 year of M/S experience, ability to jump in and learn quickly. Advanced skills needed: Thorough assessment skills, prioritization skills, critical thinking, and time management.
Procedures performed on unit: General Medical/Surgical procedures and patient population including post-catheterizations w/o intervention, lap appy/chole, thoracentesis/paracentesis, special procedures performed by IR, dedicated Spine and Joint Unit, stable traumas, HD/peritoneal dialysis, CBI, etc.
