PT Infusion RN

We are seeking a dedicated part‑time Infusion Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The role involves providing professional nursing care for patients undergoing infusion therapy, following established standards and practices. Responsibilities Administers chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, hydration, and other medications under the direction and supervision of a physician or nurse practitioner. Assesses and records patient data pre‑ and post‑infusion therapy, including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes. Assesses patients for changes in condition. Maintains knowledge of reimbursement procedures. Demonstrates knowledge of ambulatory infusion pump use and maintenance, cleans pumps after use, and documents pump usage properly. Facilitates dose modification by assessing patient, labs, consulting protocol or treatment plan, calculating dose, and consulting providers regarding dosage modifications and symptom management; performs venipuncture, accesses implanted ports, and maintains central line catheter devices. Administers all medications using correct medication, dosage, route, time, and technique, displaying appropriate technical skills for chemotherapy, biotherapy, and other medications. Programs portable infusion pumps for continuous drug delivery and provides instruction to patients and/or caregivers on pump use at home. Triages patient phone calls as needed. Manages patient medication refill requests from the pharmacy. Provides nursing coverage for the satellite offices as needed. Maintains patient confidentiality. Performs other duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned. Qualifications Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education; BSN preferred. RN state license and current registration with the state board of nursing in the state of practice. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; must maintain continuing education requirements. #J-18808-Ljbffr
