RN - Tele Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year tele or cardiac telemetry License: Current RN License valid in Missouri Certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA only Must-Have Skills/Experience: 1 year Telemetry or Cardiac Telemetry experience in an inpatient setting. ACLS certification. Ability to read telemetry. Experience working with patients with CHF, chest pain, renal issues, and those on hemodialysis. Familiarity with Amiodarone and Cardizem drips. Experience with central lines including HD catheters, ports, and PICCs. Description:This position involves providing direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.You will monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort.Utilization of the nursing process will guide patient care for individuals post-trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities.The position requires maintaining professional accountability for the provision of patient care and evaluating the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.Coordination of patient care with other departments is essential.You must maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.The nursing process is utilized to provide care and you must perform duties consistent with established guidelines of nursing practice and the Nurse Practice Act.Physical demands include standing and walking for prolonged periods, bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients with assistance.High-risk exposure to blood and body fluids is anticipated.You will need to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs., pinch up to 15 lbs., and perform minimal kneeling, crouching, and crawling.You will work with a variety of patients, including those with arrhythmias, respiratory issues, and other complex medical conditions.A compassionate, empathetic demeanor and good work ethic, along with attention to detail and assessment skills, are essential characteristics for success in this role.The dress code requires black scrubs with a specific logo. #J-18808-Ljbffr
