Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 16-week travel assignment, with a minimum of 1 year of IR Tech experience and BLS certification required.

Details

• Interventional Radiology unit at an acute care hospital setting
• Adult to geriatric patient population
• Average daily census of 8 patients
• EMR systems include Epic, Pyxis, and PACS
• Day shift, 5x8 hours, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• 10 days of on-call required per month
• Floating within the facility per scope of practice as needed
• 16-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of IR Tech experience
• Active BLS certification required
• Current professional license required if applicable
• Copies of required certifications must be provided for consideration
• Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Local candidates are accepted
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• RTO is capped at 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
• RTO blackout dates apply during Spring Break (April 4–12)
• If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO allowed; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work two and may request one holiday off
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Travelers must be away from all facilities within this health system for a full year before returning as a travel employee
• No alternate shifts or special scheduling requests are permitted; the posted shift is firm
• Candidates undergo a clinical screening process prior to manager review
