MRI Technologist - Full Time DayDemonstrate proficiency in performing MRI imaging exams for all ages and adhere to safety procedures. MRI Tech operates the MRI equipment, prepares patients for procedures, and ensures that enough information has been obtained to make a diagnosis, assist in the management of patients and present images to the physician for diagnosis. Intravenous therapy/contrast selection and injection. Prepare and enter written documentation as required by the department, such as informed consent. Float to off-sites as needed Rotating weekends and holidays required.Required Experience and Qualifications: High School Graduate or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Radiology Program. ARRT/NYSDOH License. Current BLS provider certification from the American Heart Association. Certified to do contract injections. Specialized training in MRI Technology and cross-sectional anatomy. Ability to sustain prolonged periods of sitting, walking, lifting, pulling and/or positioning and transferring patients.Preferred Experience and Qualifications: MRI Certification.As part of employment at Southampton Hospital, there may be occasions when travel to other locations is needed to support operational needs.
