Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching license required
• Experience with behavior support for young autistic students, in any educational or clinical setting
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Genuine interest in fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and families
• Excellent communication skills and a nurturing, patient approach

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach and support a self-contained class of K-2 students with mild to moderate needs
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Provide consistent behavior support tailored to students with autism
• Utilize creative teaching strategies to maintain an engaging classroom atmosphere
• Work closely with a team of specialists and support personnel
• Maintain accurate records and track student progress
