Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Alexandria, LA

Unit Information:

• Number of Beds: 36
• Patient Ratios: 1:6
• Unit Staffing: Two unit secretaries available daily from 06:00 to 22:00. Patient care techs utilized at all times; amount varies based on census.
• Type of Equipment: Telemetry monitoring, Dynamaps for vital signs, glucometers, iMobile phones, bladder scanner
• Documentation System: Meditech

Scheduling Requirements:

• 12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00)
• Every other weekend and holidays are required

Floating Policy: All nurses may float to other units as necessary.

Patient Experience Requirements:

• Hourly rounding
• Bedside shift report
• My Care Boards
• AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank You)

Qualifications:

• Requested Skill Set: Strong nursing background and comprehensive assessment skills. Attention to detail and ability to recognize condition changes. Positive attitude, flexibility, dependability, teamwork, self-motivation, and effective communication skills. Desire for excellence, accountability, ability to multitask, and capability to manage stressful situations.
• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS
• Advanced Skills Needed: Telemetry rhythm interpretation
• Experience with Procedures: PICC line removal, vascular catheter removal

Dress Code: Ceib blue scrubs are required. Adherence to hospital hygiene and dress code policies.
