This full-time role supports physicians and mid-level providers by delivering comprehensive patient assessments, treatments, testing, and education in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to clinic policies ensuring patient safety, including infection control and safe patient handling.
• Administer medications via oral, intramuscular, and subcutaneous routes as prescribed.
• Assist providers during procedures, maintaining sterile fields and managing instruments.
• Support examinations within the scope of your license and perform phone triage.
• Serve as a liaison between patients and providers, communicating test results and answering patient inquiries.
• Document patient complaints and visit details accurately according to provider preferences.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and obtain vital signs, height, and weight.
• Manage and update medication lists and patient summaries.
• Perform point-of-care lab testing and collect specimens as ordered.
• Educate patients and guardians about electronic health record tools and provide supportive teaching.
• Schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including obtaining necessary authorizations.
• Train new LPNs and medical assistants in clinic protocols.
• Demonstrate accountability, teamwork, and professionalism while managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Education

Graduation from an accredited LPN program and completion of an approved IV therapy course are required.

Experience

Previous nursing or healthcare experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Certifications and Licenses

Must hold a current LPN license valid in the state of practice and American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Physical and Mental Requirements

This role requires considerable mental focus, frequent walking, standing, lifting up to 35 pounds, and various physical movements such as turning, pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, twisting, and reaching.

Working Conditions

Expect regular exposure to infectious diseases and occasional encounters with challenging individuals. Minimal physical discomfort is typical.
