You will lead the accounting team by coaching, developing, and supervising to grow them to their greatest abilities. You will be responsible for overseeing the general ledger month-end review and closing process. You take the time when time needs to be taken to ensure excellence and accuracy in all that you do. More than that, this role is about collaboration and leadership and doing so with integrity, caring, and excellence in mind.What you’ll do:Understand Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and its impact in recording transactionsCoordinate general ledger month end review/closing processes and ensure that entries are in accordance with GAAPOversee and manage accounting operations related to general ledger, fixed assets, and accounts payable.Ensure all system processes and integrations are operating properly and collaborate with interdepartmental project teams on system projects, implementations, and conversionsExercise the usual authority of a manager concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, and terminationsAlways take action using Integrity, Caring, and Excellence to achieve all-win outcomesWhat you’ll need:Bachelor’s degree in AccountingCertified Public Accounting (CPA) designation5+ years experience in AccountingProficient in Microsoft computer applicationsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAdditional Preferred Skills:Prior managerial or leadership roleExperience with core banking application configurations and integrationsKnowledgeable in emerging technologies, including AIOur Benefits:At Frost, we care about your health, your family, and your future and strive to have our benefits reflect that.
