Site Engineer I The Site Engineer I is a contributing member of the site level Data Center Operations team, assigned to one or more data center properties and reporting directly to the Manager Engineering Operations. Expectations include experience with mission critical infrastructure—including Generators, UPS Systems, HVAC Systems, Fire/Life Safety Systems, BMS Systems, and CMMS systems. The candidate should have expertise in either electrical or mechanical work and be competent in the other area. Responsibilities Contribute to daily site operation, including creation and modification of site operating procedures. Create and modify change management tickets and incident reports. Perform site maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure 100% uptime and compliance with customer SLAs. Gain a complete understanding of DLR and site‑related items such as facility layout, MEP systems, equipment nomenclature, drawings, and specifications. Understand equipment sequence of operations (SOO), standard operating procedures (SOP), and emergency operating procedures (EOP). Know customer SLAs and engineering lease obligations. Maintain top 20 EOPs and BMS alarm functionality, including escalation/acknowledgement and data trend extraction. Manage DLR event procedures, escalation, and incident reporting. Use CMMS to create, edit, implement, and close change‑management work orders. Respond to unplanned events without supervision and troubleshoot site mechanical and electrical systems. Execute low‑risk preventive maintenance procedures and oversee their completion. Conduct site inspections to detect anomalies and complete routine rounds. Develop or improve SOPs for site‑specific equipment. Support accreditation initiatives such as SSAE 16, SOC-2, ISO 27001. Complete DLR Critical Awareness Training. Administer safe systems of work, support audits for electrical safety standards, and assist in staff and supplier training. Collaborate with engineers and cross‑functional teams to uphold safety and operational standards. Maintain documentation and records related to safety compliance. Qualifications At least 1 year experience in mission‑critical facilities engineering or equivalent equipment experience related to generators, HVAC, UPS, or fire/life safety systems. Hands‑on electrical or mechanical skill with competence in the other area. Strong knowledge of UPS systems and architectures. Strong knowledge of cooling systems and architectures. Understanding of infrastructure redundancy configurations and associated risks. Knowledge of energy efficiency principles. Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills. Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and familiarity with Project, Acrobat, Visio, or AutoCAD. Basic understanding of emergency situations and escalation processes. Strong understanding of CMMS, DCIM, and power‑metering systems. Physical capacity to lift and handle up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, stretch, work on a raised data center floor, and climb ladders up to 16 feet. #J-18808-Ljbffr
