Aurex's Hardware Design and Integration Team is made up of multidisciplinary engineers with expertise in software development, hardware design, structural analysis, analytical modeling, systems engineering and integration, and manufacturing. This team is tasked with solving complex problems with new and innovative ideas to bring our customers the best possible solution.You'll be at the forefront of developing innovative hardware solutions for next-generation spacecraft, aircraft, and robotic systems. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and problem-solving skills to contribute to innovative projects.ResponsibilitiesConduct market surveys, feasibility studies and create detailed design conceptsConduct trade studies and perform design optimizationDesign and develop electrical components and systems for space, aircraft, or robotic applicationsCreate and manage detailed circuit schematics, PCB layouts, and simulations using tools such as Altium or similar softwarePerform electrical analysis on systems, including power integrity, signal integrity, and EMI/EMC, to ensure performance in harsh environmentsSupport prototyping, testing, and validation of electrical systems, iterating designs based on test results, with hands-on lab troubleshooting using tools like oscilloscopesDevelop and maintain test plans and proceduresOversee manufacturing and assembly processes for PCBs and electronic assembliesCollaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, software engineers, and project managersQualifications:Active DoD Secret ClearanceWork in person at our corporate headquarters in Huntsville ALBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field with relevant experience in the industry or Master's degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or relevant field with experience in applying your knowledge to real-world systems2-5 years of industry experience in electrical design and developmentProven experience in designing hardware for space, aircraft, or robotic systemsExtensive knowledge of circuit design software and simulation toolsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsPreferred Qualifications:Strong background in circuit design and power electronics, including switch-mode power supply design, battery systems, and battery managementProficiency in circuit simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, LTSpice) and hands-on lab testing/troubleshooting with oscilloscopes and other diagnostic equipmentExperience implementing microcontrollers and communication protocols such as serial, RS232/485, I2C, SPI, and EthernetKnowledge of manufacturing processes for electronics (e.g., PCB fabrication, soldering, assembly)Experience with rapid prototyping techniques for circuits and systemsWhat We OfferThe opportunity to work on cutting-edge spacecraft, aircraft and robotics systems with real-world impact.A collaborative and fast-paced work environment with passionate engineers.Top-tier salary and benefits package.Continuous learning and growth opportunitiesHow You Will Be RewardedThe salary range for this role is $107,000 - $135,000.00 per year.
