Visit our website at to learn more about our work, values, and impact. The Role KYA is seeking a full-time Project Director with a strong commitment to improving outcomes for children and families. This role is ideal for a strategic leader who enjoys turning big ideas into action, building strong partnerships, and driving meaningful change. As Project Director, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, engage community partners, and oversee initiatives that create lasting impact for Kentucky kids. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Translate the program's vision into actionable implementation plans and project strategies Develop and manage comprehensive workback schedules and timelines Coordinate tasks and responsibilities across teams to ensure alignment and timely execution Manage the program budget in partnership with senior leadership Monitor project progress and collaborate with the Data & Research team to measure outcomes and achieve short- and long-term goals Draft, edit, and manage partner communications, reports, grant proposals, and other external-facing content Help coordinate content development across internal teams to ensure accurate and consistent messaging Facilitate and lead internal meetings, external workgroups, and partner convenings Collaborate with Policy and Data & Research teams to incorporate emerging child welfare research and policy into program strategies Build and strengthen community partnerships by identifying new engagement opportunities and managing ongoing partner relationshipsPlan and oversee the implementation of major program initiatives, events, and activations We're Looking for Someone Who Has A strong commitment to improving the lives of children and youth Knowledge of and experience working within the child well-being space 5–7 years of project management or program leadership experience Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Exceptional organizational and project management skills Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time Experience writing grant proposals and reports Experience managing coalitions, community partnerships, and stakeholder engagement Experience facilitating meetings and leading cross-functional teams Experience working with families and youth who have lived experience with the child welfare system A proactive, flexible, and solutions-oriented approach with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced organization Experience with Monday.com or similar project management platforms is preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace In Your First Year, You Will: Lead implementation of key KYA program Build strong relationships with statewide partners Develop systems to track deliverables and measure impact Strengthen communication and collaboration across project teams #J-18808-Ljbffr
