This position requires advanced welding ability, strong fabrication knowledge, leadership by example, and the ability to maintain quality and productivity in a fast-paced environment.We are looking for experienced welders who take pride in craftsmanship, understand manufacturing standards, and can contribute to a high-performance production team.Position SummaryThe Senior Welder is responsible for performing advanced welding and fabrication work on structural and custom metal assemblies while maintaining high quality and production standards. This role requires strong experience in MIG and Flux-Core welding, blueprint interpretation, fabrication support, troubleshooting, and independent project execution.The ideal candidate is capable of handling complex welding tasks, assisting with production problem-solving, and supporting junior team members when needed.ResponsibilitiesPerform advanced MIG welding on structural and custom fabricated componentsPerform Flux-Core welding for heavy-duty and structural applicationsRead and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and production specificationsSet up and adjust welding equipment and parameters properlyPerform fitting, alignment, and fabrication support as requiredMaintain high-quality weld appearance and structural integrityIdentify and correct welding or fabrication issuesAssist with troubleshooting production and fabrication problemsSupport production efficiency and workflow improvementsAssist in training and mentoring junior welders when neededInspect completed work to ensure quality standards are metMaintain safe work practices and follow all company safety proceduresSupport team productivity and project completion goalsWelding & Fabrication SkillsAdvanced MIG welding experience requiredStrong Flux-Core welding experience requiredAbility to weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positionsStrong understanding of weld penetration, distortion control, and weld qualityAbility to fabricate and assemble components from prints and drawingsAbility to maintain high production consistency with minimal supervisionStrong understanding of fabrication processes and shop workflowAbility to identify and resolve fit-up and dimensional issuesExperience with structural and custom fabrication work preferredTools & Equipment UsedMIG welding machinesFlux-Core welding equipmentFabrication and fitting toolsGrinders and finishing equipmentMeasuring and layout toolsClamps, fixtures, and fabrication equipmentSaws and shop equipmentMaterial handling equipmentQualifications5+ years of welding and fabrication experience preferredPrevious experience in manufacturing, structural welding, or custom fabrication environments requiredAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong blueprint reading and fabrication interpretation skillsProven ability to maintain quality and productivity standardsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent attendance and reliabilityStrong work ethic and leadership mentalityBilingual in English and Spanish preferredPreferred QualificationsExperience with structural steel or heavy fabrication projectsFlux-Core structural welding experienceExperience mentoring or training junior weldersForklift experience is a plusWelding certifications are a plus, but not requiredCompensationStarting pay: $24Full-time position40 hours per weekStable long-term employmentOpportunity for growth within the companyPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods of timeAbility to lift up to 70 lbs regularlyAbility to bend, kneel, push, pull, and work in a physically demanding environmentAbility to work safely around machinery and welding equipmentWork EnvironmentThis position works inside a metal fabrication and manufacturing facility.
