Responsibilities Hire and develop a full cross‑functional maintenance team for a growing brewery. Lead maintenance activities for all brewery equipment, plant (steam, electricity, refrigeration, compressed air, water), and other production‑related machinery. Use CMMS and Maintenance Planner to execute, review, and optimize team performance. Investigate breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions. Manage the brewery’s spare parts inventory and support staff to minimize cost and maximize uptime. Co‑coach direct and indirect reports to foster ownership, positivity, focus, and engagement. Assist with capital improvement projects and ensure they meet timelines and budgets. Maintain compliance with all regulatory agencies relevant to brewery operations. Operate the wastewater treatment plant, including regulatory reporting, throughput, chemical usage, and performance. Assist in annual budget planning and monitor department budget adherence. Analyze and report performance against departmental KPIs. Manage external supplier relationships related to maintenance functions. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure safety of all team members, conduct safety audits, and work with EH&S manager to enforce OSHA and company policies. Participate in safety meetings, audits, and the good‑catch program; perform 5‑Why and accident investigations when required. Monitor the good‑catch program to confirm corrective actions are implemented. Qualifications Minimum 5 years in a maintenance leadership role in the food or beverage industry. Proven leadership in safety management, team building, coaching, motivation, change management, process management, and vision influence. Experience with CMMS. Exposure to continuous improvement techniques such as Lean or TPM. Ability to respond confidently and responsibly to inquiries or complaints from customers and regulatory agencies. Preferred Qualifications Experience in brewing or high‑speed carbonated beverage packaging. B.Sc. in Engineering or Industrial Management. Experience with pneumatic systems, industrial electricity, mechanical power, steam generation, and distribution, industrial refrigeration, and sanitary process piping. Experience troubleshooting and programming automated equipment control platforms (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens PCS7, Rockwell Automation). Key Relationships Reports directly to the Maintenance and Engineering Manager. Collaborates with Process & Infrastructure, Quality, Brewing and Packaging Managers, and the Senior Leadership Team. Physical & Shift Requirements Must lift and carry 60 pounds regularly. Must stand, walk, lift, and bend for most of the work schedule. Must tolerate extreme temperature conditions in the production environment. Must use computer and maintenance‑related software. Travel may be required up to 25%.
