The Midtown Group is hiring two experienced Labor & Employment Attorneys to support a prominent Washington, DC government agency. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys who enjoy handling sophisticated employment law matters while advising executive leadership on issues that affect one of the District's largest public-sector workforces.

What You'll Do
As a member of the agency's legal team, you will:
- Advise senior leadership on labor and employment law matters.
- Represent the agency in administrative hearings and employment-related proceedings.
- Draft legal opinions, memoranda, motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.
- Counsel management and HR professionals on employee relations, workplace investigations, disciplinary actions, and compliance issues.
- Conduct legal research and provide practical guidance on changing laws and regulations.
- Analyze legal risks and recommend strategic solutions.
- Partner with agency leadership, outside counsel, and government stakeholders on complex employment matters.
- Assist with policy development and implementation.

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- At least 3 years of experience practicing labor and employment law.
- Active membership in good standing with the DC Bar, or eligibility to waive into the DC Bar.
- Experience representing clients in administrative hearings, investigations, or employment-related proceedings.
- Excellent legal research, writing, advocacy, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while exercising sound legal judgment.
Preferred Experience
- Government, public sector, or education law experience.
- Labor relations and collective bargaining matters.
- Employee discipline, discrimination, workplace investigations, and administrative litigation.
- Administrative law and government personnel systems.
