Job Details Location: 284 FFL Piggly Wiggly Moultrie GA D6 - Moultrie, GA 31768 Position Type: Full Time Job Category: Grocery Deli Associate Job Summary Deli associates are responsible for preparing and serving food items, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and providing excellent customer service to all patrons. Responsibilities Provide continuous attention to customer needs; greet, assist, and thank customers in a prompt, courteous, and friendly manner. Offer product suggestions when appropriate. Stock and rotate department products to ensure freshness and date control; restock and use supply items efficiently to eliminate waste and maintain the lowest supply cost. Operate department equipment and tools in a safe and appropriate manner. Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identifying unsafe conditions, accidents, or issues and notifying store management. Notify management of team member theft, customer shoplifting, unauthorized markdowns, property defacement, or any action that is illegal and/or against company policy. Prepare and serve food items such as hot meals, sandwiches, salads, soups, etc. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning equipment and utensils. Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and notifying appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair. Understand the company’s checkout/purchasing procedures to include how customers and staff pay for items in the store. Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines by maintaining a clean and orderly work area. Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed. Perform other duties as assigned to include stocking, cleaning, etc. Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation. Physical Demands Standing for extended periods of time. Bending, lifting, and reaching. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Required Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older. High School Diploma or Equivalent. Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently. Ability to understand and follow instructions. Customer service experience. Ability to handle stressful situations. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Effective communication skills. Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction). Preferred Qualifications Excellent Customer Service Attitude and Skills. Prior experience in a deli or food service environment preferred. Strong communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours to include evenings and weekends. Deli experience. Food safety knowledge. Flexible hours availability. OSHA Smart certification. Hot bar experience.
