Position Summary Provides health care services, using sonographic equipment to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Demonstrates anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention by or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Exercises professional judgement in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics. Applies age appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. Qualifications Graduate of Committee of Allied Health Education Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited sonography program or equivalent. American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) is required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Physical Demands Please view the Physical Demands. Compensation and Benefits The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. Annual salaries displayed are based on full-time employment (40 standard hrs per week). Salaries for part-time positions will be prorated based on scheduled weekly hours. When determining individual pay rates, factors include market indicators, skills, education, training, credentials and experience, internal equity and organizational needs. In addition to salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night, weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
