Job Summary: As a Cook at Denny's, you will be responsible for cooking food to order, preparing ingredients, maintaining proper sanitation, and ensuring the adherence to company food preparation standards. Your primary goal will be to ensure guest satisfaction by presenting food according to Denny's specifications and guest preferences. Job Functions/Responsibilities: Ensure guest satisfaction by proper plate presentation and cooking to Denny's specifications and guest preference Inform management immediately of any safety hazards, equipment problems, and out-of-stock items Prepare ingredient items to recipe and company standards Adhere to all company standards and policies, including proper food storage, rotation, portioning, temperatures, and reporting to work on time Maintain proper fry line sanitation at all times Complete all required paperwork, side-work, stocking, and daily cleaning tasks Handle peak business hours and present a professional image at all times Adhere to all safety standards and promote Denny's Inc. and Franchise company values Physical Requirements: Extensive standing during peak hours Reaching heights of approximately 5 feet and depths of 2 to 3 feet High level of mobility/flexibility on the cook's line Ability to work irregular hours and under heavy pressure/stress Bending, reaching, walking Carrying trays of food products weighing about 20 pounds Qualification Standards: Work in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold Sufficient mobility to move and operate in the work area Practice safe work habits and have knowledge of chemicals Meet any state, county, or municipal regulations pertaining to food handling Be at least 18 years of age Have basic math skills Maintain proper hygiene Must complete all training, anti-discrimination & anti-harassment training and embrace our company's nondiscrimination & anti-harassment policies and values Benefits: Flexible schedule Paid time off Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision insurance Life insurance Disability insurance Employee discount Paid training Referral program Paid tuition for English Language courses Opportunity for Advancement And more!
