This role is for individuals who don't just want a job, but want to influence others, grow as a leader, and help build a team where people feel valued, challenged, and supported. Team leaders partner with senior leadership to execute exceptional operations, develop team members, and create remarkable experiences for every guest who walks through our doors. Prior experience as shift lead, crew lead, supervisor, team lead, restaurant manager, restaurant assistant manager is required.

What Team Leaders Do

Lead with purpose:

  • Set the tone for each shift through attitude, clarity, and example
  • Model Chick-fil-A's culture, values, and service standards
  • Take ownership of results and inspire others to do the same

Develop people:

  • Coach, mentor, and encourage team members to grow in skill and confidence
  • Provide real-time feedback and recognition
  • Build trust, accountability, and teamwork across the restaurant

Drive operational excellence:

  • Lead shifts in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Ensure consistent execution of hospitality, cleanliness, speed, and accuracy
  • Open and close the restaurant, including key-holder responsibilities and cash management
  • Outstanding communication, both written and spoken.

    We're Looking for Leaders Who:

    • Have prior leadership experience (shift lead, supervisor, team lead, etc.)
    • Are committed to exceptional guest service and team development
    • Prior experience as shift lead, crew lead, supervisor, team lead, restaurant manager, restaurant assistant manager is required.
    Position Details:
    • Part-time hours—up to 30 hours a week. Must be able to work a shift on Friday and Saturday each week.
    • Full-time hours—40+ hours a week. Must be able to work a shift on Friday and Saturday each week.

    Weekly schedule includes:

    • 2 morning shifts (6:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.)
    • 2 evening shifts (2:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.)

    60 Day Leadership Review

    In alignment with our commitment to clarity, excellence, and intentional development, candidates on the leadership pathway will participate in a formal 60-day leadership review.

    At the 60-day mark, leadership will evaluate readiness and impact across the following dimensions:

    Consistent execution of operational responsibilities, mastery of brand standards, and effective shift leadership.

    Ability to coach, develop, and inspire team members while contributing positively to team culture and performance.

    Professional Presence

    Clear communication, initiative, sense of urgency, and alignment with Chick-fil-A standards and expectations.

    This review is designed to provide meaningful feedback, recognize strengths, and clarify next steps for growth. Should expectations not yet be fully met, a structured development plan will be established. Continued employment and advancement within the leadership pathway—including promotion to team leader and the associated pay increase to $17/hour—will be based on demonstrated progress, leadership readiness, and alignment with our values and culture.
