This position focuses on dimensional inspection of aerospace parts and assemblies, ensuring compliance with various dimensional and contractual requirements. What You Will Do Sustain a high level of ethics while conducting company business in accordance with the company’s code of ethics and policies, inclusive of the ASQ code of ethics. Apply strategic and critical thinking on a continuous basis as it applies to quality control inspection, product compliance and conformance for both suppliers and the company. Review and verify compliance of Supplier Purchase Order quality flow‑down requirements for received product. Perform independent inspections of assigned tasks (documentation reviews of ATP, CoF, FAIR, hardware inspection, assembly inspection, test validation, etc.) using blueprints, specifications, contractual documents, and visual inspection methods. Inspect complex GD&T hardware using a variety of hand and bench tools, including micrometers, bore gauges, depth gauges, dial indicators, drop indicators, height gauges, optical comparators, hardness checkers, profilometers, etc. Communicate, lead, and coach inner company departments regarding quality control activities, developments, and quality objectives. Implement supplier quality procedures. Support developing strategies with direct management, supply chain management/purchasing, and engineering to provide visibility for identified risks associated with doing business with current suppliers based on quality trends. Create supplier and internal nonconformance reports when required. Provide leadership, technical training, and act as a mentor for Level B (II) and Level C (I) quality control inspectors. Provide technical assistance and training to inspection personnel regarding mechanical inspection techniques, product and document verification, and other product evaluation methods as needed. Perform other tasks as may be assigned by management. What You Need High school diploma or equivalent. 7–10 years of relevant experience in quality control inspection and regulatory administration, including FAA Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 14 Part 21, AS9100, ISO 9001, and ISO 9000. Proficiency in AS9102 First Article Inspection and DISCUS/Net Inspect. Experience with root cause and corrective action investigations (Apollo Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, Five Whys, Ishikawa, 8D, DMAIC). Knowledge of Sigma, Lean, and statistical analysis and process control tools (SPC, Pareto, DPMO, PPM). Familiarity with the use of coordinated measurement machines (CMM) for product acceptance. Experience with electronic/electrical test techniques and inspection methods. General manufacturing and assembly techniques. AS9100/ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification. Proficient drawing reading and interpretation and ASME Y14.5 GD&T. Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Benefits Comprehensive medical insurance.
