CHARGE NURSE

BHC Alhambra Hospital Charge Nurse (RN) Shift Available: AM 7:00 am‑7:30 pm, NOC 7:00 pm‑7:30 am. BHC Alhambra is a private, fully accredited 115-bed psychiatric hospital serving children, adolescents, and adults. Responsibilities Prescribe, delegate, coordinate, and evaluate patient care through collaboration with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and standards of care. Supervise LVN/LPT and Program Specialist staff. Complete a comprehensive nursing assessment and patient interview within eight hours of admission to the unit. Document patient information and nursing care. Document and reassess any significant changes in the patient's condition in compliance with facility policy. Delegate staff assignments based on patient needs. Make daily patient care assignments based on each staff member's level of competency. Supervise nursing staff to assure timely completion of patient activities of daily living (ADL’s). Requirements Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing (Bachelor's Degree preferred). Experience: Minimum of three (3) years as a registered nurse in a psychiatric health care facility (preferred). License: Currently licensed to practice by the State Board of Nursing.
