Job Title: Plant Supervisor

Location: Frazeysburg, OH

The primary function of this position is to strengthen shift operations regarding compliance with company policies, schedules, and relative operational standards. This is a direct hands-on position which will commit 95% of time management working within the manufacturing processes. 

The plant supervisor will coach / mentor (lead by example) junior leaders and ensure that production line team members are compliant with company policies and exceed manufacturing goals. 

Plant supervisors are expected to apply strategic & proactive applications to ensure efficient execution of plans; to ensure that Continuous Improvement, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing efforts are sustained; to control and distribute production reporting information; and to lead daily shift-start planning meetings.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Mentor and Coach: Serve as a direct role model and coach to our junior leaders and production line team members, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and excellence.
• Lead Daily Planning: Direct and facilitate daily shift-start planning meetings to align the team on production goals, safety priorities, and operational standards.
• Uphold Safety & Compliance: Champion a culture of safety by strictly enforcing company and OSHA safety standards, ensuring all equipment is functioning safely, and promptly addressing and reporting any malfunctions.

• Drive Efficiency: Apply strategic and proactive methodologies to ensure efficient execution of production plans and optimal output.
• Sustain Improvement Initiatives: Actively lead and sustain Continuous Improvement, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing efforts on the floor to eliminate waste and boost productivity.
• Performance Analysis: Collect, control, and accurately distribute essential production reports and performance metrics to inform real-time decision-making.
• Troubleshoot and Resolve: Quickly and effectively troubleshoot and resolve operational issues to maximize production flow and minimize costly downtime.
• Optimize Resources: Proactively control and minimize operational costs, including overtime labor, maintenance/repair expenses, product re-work, and equipment downtime.

· Ensure Quality: Utilize hands-on experience with Ridge established ISO and IATF quality systems to maintain the highest level of product quality compliance.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5 years of prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting is required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

· Efficient knowledge and use of Microsoft Word and Excel for reporting and analysis

• Proven commitment to quality compliance and productivity
• Safety knowledge of OSHA 1910 General Industry Standards for Lock Out, Mobile Equipment, Machine Guarding

· Detail oriented, must be able to follow detailed work instructions, from start-up to shut-down, with precision.

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

· Mechanical Aptitude (Preferred) Ability to identify basic thermal, electrical, and pneumatic equipment concerns.

· Self-motivated to accomplish goals and can make safe, effective, and timely decisions with minimal supervision.

· Must be able to work overtime, including weekends, as needed to support business demands.

Ergonomic Requirements:

• Ability to Stand for Long Periods of Time
• Ability to Push, Pull, Lift, and/or carry up to 75 lbs.
