Full Stack Engineer

Software Engineer PositionRequired Skills & Experience:• 6–10 years of professional software engineering experience building and operating customer-facing web applications at scale• Demonstrated track record of owning features end-to-end—from design through production rollout and ongoing operation—as a senior individual contributor• Experience building consumer or B2B2C web experiences (portals, e-commerce, account management, or similar) in a production environment• Experience integrating with at least one major payment provider (Stripe, Worldpay, Adyen, or comparable) is strongly preferredTechnical Depth:• Expert in JavaScript and TypeScript with deep React experience (or strong Angular experience and willingness to work across both); confident with modern build tooling, testing, and component design• Strong back-end skills in Node.js and/or Java with Spring; comfortable designing REST APIs, working with relational and NoSQL stores (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB), and implementing background and async processing• Solid foundation in HTML, CSS, accessibility (WCAG 2.1+), responsive design, and Core Web Vitals; cares about how the UI feels, not just how it looks• Cloud experience on Azure and/or AWS—deploying services, working with managed data stores, queues, and serverless where appropriate• Working fluency with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar), and Infrastructure as Code is a plus• Experience with a headless CMS (ContentStack strongly preferred; Contentful, Sanity, or similar acceptable) and personalization or experimentation tools (Optimizely, Nosto, or comparable)• Authentication and authorization experience: OAuth/OIDC, SAML, SSO, session management, and secure handling of tokens and credentials• Strong testing discipline across the pyramid: unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end (Jest, Playwright, Cypress, JUnit, RestAssured, or similar)• Comfort with observability tooling: structured logging, APM, metrics, and tracingEngineering Practice:• Pragmatic about trade-offs—picks the simple solution that fits the problem rather than the fanciest one available• Strong written and verbal communication; can explain complex technical decisions to product, design, and non-technical stakeholders• Habitual collaborator: writes useful design docs, leaves thoughtful code review feedback, and handles disagreement with technical evidence• Comfortable in Agile delivery (Scrum or Kanban) with frequent releases and short feedback loops• Self-directed: can take a fuzzy problem, sharpen it into a plan, sequence the work, and deliver without heavy oversightMindset:• Customer-focused: cares about how features feel for real users, not just whether they ship• Quality-driven but speed-aware—understands that shipping well and shipping fast are not opposites• Ownership-first: if it's broken in production, you don't wait for someone else to fix it• Generous teammate: shares knowledge, mentors without being asked, and raises the level of everyone around you
