Respiratory Therapist

The Respiratory Therapist is certified or registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care to provide comprehensive cardiopulmonary services. This role encompasses adherence to protocols approved by the medical staff and department policies and procedures to deliver timely diagnostic and therapeutic services to both inpatients and outpatients.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures.
• Deliver medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas.
• Maintain airways and manage ventilators.
• Insert arterial lines and perform intubations.
• Conduct pulmonary function studies and cardiac/pulmonary stress tests.
• Collect and analyze blood gas specimens.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have NBRC RRT or CRT certification.
• Minimum of 2 years recent Respiratory Therapy experience.
• Experience in pediatrics and obstetrical patients is required.
• Active Wyoming Respiratory Therapy license.
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association are mandatory.

Schedule

This position involves a variable day/night schedule, consisting of two day shifts and one night shift.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
