Registered Nurse (RN) - CVOR

This position requires a Registered Nurse to work in the CVOR unit. This role is focused on providing high-quality nursing care in a specialized environment, ensuring patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures.

Location: San Antonio, TX

Shift Details:

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift/Workdays: 11a-7p
• Weekend: Rotating
• Call Requirements: Yes
• Guaranteed Hours: 36

Unit Highlights:

• Documentation System: Meditech
• Patient Assignment: 3-4 patients, including admission holds
• Floating Policy: As needed

Required Qualifications:

• Active TX RN License (temp licenses are not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of hospital/specialty experience
• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification (facility requirement)
• PALS Certification (facility requirement)
• Heart Transplant Experience

• Heart Experience
• Pediatric Heart Experience
• Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump experience
• Adult Heart Transplant experience
• Cell Saver experience
• Peripheral Vascular knowledge
• Experience with Meditech documentation system

Dress Code:

• Scrub Color: Provided by the facility
• Nail Policy: Clean and healthy
• Hair: Neat and clean, avoiding extreme styles or colors
• Facial Hair: Clean and neatly trimmed beards, mustaches, and sideburns
• Tattoos: Should be covered when possible
• Piercings: Visible piercings other than earrings are prohibited
