Registered Nurse - Psychiatric

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized psychiatric nursing care to patients in urgent care and crisis settings. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe, compassionate, and effective mental health treatment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' mental health status and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses according to protocols.
• Float between urgent care and crisis units, providing consistent nursing support.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and organizational policies, including EKG testing.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to coordinate care.
• Document patient interactions and clinical findings accurately in the EMR system.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license and pass the Pass/Fail EKG exam.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in urgent care or behavioral health.
• BLS certification required; previous experience in EPIC EHR system preferred.
• Ability to work 3x12 night shifts, including every other weekend and holidays.
• Flexibility in scheduling and willingness to float between units.
• Awareness of compliance deadlines and RTO submission requirements.
