Position Overview The Fraud Senior Solution Architect is a strategic professional who closely follows the latest trends in their field and adapts them for application within the business. A small number of people within the business provide this level of expertise. Excellent communication skills are required to negotiate internally at a senior level. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are needed to guide, influence, and convince others, especially colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. The role is accountable for significant direct business results or authoritative advice regarding the operations of the business and involves a degree of responsibility over technical strategy, primarily affecting a sub‑function. The architect handles staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project. This role is for a senior‑level architect who will define the technical vision and strategy for cutting‑edge technology initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a natural leader and strategic thinker responsible for designing complex systems, with a primary focus on Cloud platforms and the integration of Generative and Agentic AI. The position involves shaping the future technology landscape of the organization by mentoring teams and communicating a clear architectural direction to all stakeholders. Responsibilities Lead the design and architecture of complex, scalable systems with a significant focus on Cloud, Generative AI, and Agentic AI solutions. Develop, document, and communicate a strategic technical vision and roadmap to business and technology stakeholders. Create clear and detailed architectural diagrams, models, and other documentation using tools like Visio. Act as a technical leader, providing mentorship, guidance, and influence to engineering teams and other architects. Proactively research, identify, and solve complex technical and business challenges with innovative solutions. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure architectural alignment and the successful delivery of projects. Provide architectural vision for all IT systems, including those that support Internet applications, ensuring that architecture conforms to enterprise blueprints. Develop architecture, strategy, planning, and problem‑solving solutions on an enterprise level. Interface across several channels, acting as a visionary to proactively assist in defining direction for future projects. Maintain continuous awareness of business, technical, and infrastructure issues and act as a sounding board or consultant to aid in the development of creative solutions. Depending on project scope, may be accountable for end‑to‑end results including budgeting, policy formulation, and providing future state technology strategies for an effort. Interface with vendors to assess their technology and guide their product roadmap based on Citi requirements. Exhibit in-depth knowledge of how own specialism contributes to the business and understand the commercial environment. Provide thought leadership in subjects that are key to the business. Require sophisticated analytical thought to resolve issues in a variety of complex situations. Impact the technology function through contribution to technical direction and strategic decisions. Use developed communication skills to negotiate at higher levels. Perform other job duties and functions as assigned. Assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency. Qualifications 10+ years of relevant experience in a senior technical architecture role. Demonstrated ability for high‑level strategic thinking and maintaining a proactive, forward‑looking mindset. Natural leadership qualities with a track record of mentoring teams and influencing technical decisions across an organization. Exceptional and clear communication skills, with experience in managing and presenting to senior stakeholders. Deep expertise in cloud technologies (AWS highly preferred), with relevant certifications considered a strong plus. Strong experience with or a deep professional focus on Generative AI, Agentic AI, and associated tools. Proficiency in creating technical diagrams and architectural artifacts using Visio or similar tools. TOGAF certification is a plus. Experience within the financial services industry is a plus. Experience with fraud detection systems, authentication, authorization, or Single Sign‑On (SSO) is a nice to have. Management and prioritization skills. Ability to develop working relationships. Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Self‑starter with the ability to take initiative and master new tasks quickly. Methodical, attention to detail. Education Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Master’s degree. Location Irving, Texas, United States Salary and Benefits The Primary Location Full Time Salary Range is $156,160.00 – $234,240.00. In addition to salary, Citi’s offerings may also include discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
