Principal, Product Manager- Data/ML

We are looking for a Principal Product Manager (Tech.) who will envision, shape and drive the future of all audience planning, activation and optimization solutions offered by the Viant DSP. As a product and technology leader, you will lead all aspects of product development and delivery for your products and programs. You will own the product vision, strategy, definition, and delivery to market drawing upon your understanding of technical product management and business expertise to define and rapidly execute on iterative improvements.THE DAY-TO-DAYOwn and drive the strategy, roadmap, and execution to deliver products to marketLead end-to-end product management efforts for Viant DSP's suite of audience and data productsWork closely with cross-functional teams internally as well as customers externally to understand pain points and underserved needs to identify opportunitiesBuild differentiated requirements, phase them out, and own the roadmap for audience and data products within Viant DSP's self-serve media buying platformManage dependencies with other aspects within the technical environment and track development work against expected deliverablesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to continually ship functionality to successful outcomeGenerate strategic and innovative product ideas and drive implementation Perform in-depth research on competitive offerings within the DSP marketEffectively communicate relevant KPIs to key stakeholdersGREAT TO HAVE7+ years of experience as a product manager2+ years of online advertising experienceDemonstrated ability to figure out solutions to complex problems, using sound judgement to assess risks, and to lay out your argument in a well-structured, data-informed, written narrativeDemonstrated understanding of the techniques and methods of product discovery and product deliveryProven ability to engage with engineers, designers, and company leaders in a constructive and collaborative relationshipExperience with audience planning, activation and optimization solutions within the online media and advertising spaceAd Tech experience or understanding of Ad Networks, Exchanges, Real-time Bidding, Programmatic, Demand Side Platforms, Supply Side Platforms, Data Management Platforms, onboarding and Identity Management preferredFamiliarity with AI/ML, agentic systems, and optimizing workflows is a plusLIFE AT VIANTInvesting in our employee’s professional growth is important to us, but so is investing in their well-being. Base compensation range: $180,000 - $250,000In accordance with California law, the range provided is Viant’s reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role.
