Position Details The Interdisciplinary Wellness Center at Hunter College of The City University of New York invites applications for the position of Associate Director of Community Engagement & Outreach at the rank of Higher Education Associate. This is a full‑time appointment beginning Spring 2026 with a renewable yearly contract. Upon reappointment for the ninth year of service, the employee obtains a Certificate of Continuous Administrative Service (CCAS). Responsibilities Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the Clubhouse, a community space located on the 3rd floor of 142 W 36th Street in Manhattan. Manage up to five peer‑support staff who are members of the communities served by the Interdisciplinary Wellness Center. Lead the development and organization of programmatic activities that catalyze community engagement. Coordinate with the Clinic Director to facilitate the synergistic operation of the Clubhouse and the training clinic on the 9th floor of 142 W 36th Street. Collaborate with the steering committee and faculty members under direction from the Special Adviser of Community Engagement and Public Partnerships. Collect and analyze data on outcomes, report results, and plan new and improved services. Manage fiscal administration and office staff as required. Qualifications Master’s level degree in a relevant field preferred; bachelor’s degree with six years of related experience will be considered. Experience in program administration, group facilitation, and workshop‑style training at community‑based organizations. Strong managerial, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to mentor and guide peer‑support staff toward their professional development goals. Expressive and receptive communication skills. Passion for building community partnerships to improve access to health and wellness services in New York City. CUNY Title Overview Manages a program or service providing community outreach and services on behalf of the College or Unit. Defines program goals, objectives, risks, and roles and responsibilities. Collaborates with external organizations and community stakeholders to plan and execute program activities. Develops and delivers direct service to external clientele. Collects data on outcomes, analyzes and reports results while planning new and improved services. May manage an office staff of employees and/or volunteers, and have responsibility for fiscal administration. Performs related duties as assigned. Compensation and Benefits Salary commensurate with education and experience within the range for this title (currently $86,741–$102,408).
