Warehouse Associate

TITLE: Warehouse Associate CLASSIFICATION: Full-time/Non-Exempt/Benefit Eligible SUPERVISOR: Warehouse Supervisor POSITION SUMMARY: The Warehouse Associate is responsible for safe and efficient daily warehouse operations. This position is responsible for a variety of manual tasks associated with acquisition, storage, and distribution of food and other donated products, including pulling orders, loading and unloading deliveries, operating warehouse equipment, and general maintenance and cleanup. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Good math and counting skills Good verbal skills and reading/writing literacy The ability to work in a team environment Be cooperative and respectful to peers and leaders Ability to take initiative and share duties to accomplish warehouse tasks Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely, primarily forklifts and pallet jacks Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively Ability to stand/walk all day Possess sufficient flexibility for bending and lifting QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent Experience and ability to work with diverse populations Basic awareness of safety standards DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES PULL TEAM Pull orders using the warehouse pick list. Report all discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor Assist drivers by loading outbound trucks Work with accuracy and efficiency in accordance with the Quality Accountability Plan GENERAL WAREHOUSE DUTIES Work with other staff in maintaining safe and sanitary warehouse conditions Assist with food bank volunteers as directed Cross-train in all applicable operations of the warehouse Treat agency representatives with respect and courtesy Make pickups and deliveries on time as assigned Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently Practice safe food handling techniques according to AIB standards Pay Rate: $15.50 - $16.75 per hour; 40 hours per week; Monday - Friday Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) and matching, Disability, Life Insurance, EAP, Vacation, Paid Sick Time, Personal Time, Volunteer Time Off, Holiday Pay #J-18808-Ljbffr The Food Bank for Central & Northeast Missouri
