Job Title

Perfusionist – CVOR

Location

Fargo, ND | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday with call rotation one night per week and every other to every third weekend | First case expected to begin at 0730

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perfusion support for on-pump and off-pump CABG cases, valve replacement surgeries (AVR, MVR, robotic), Bentall procedures, and TAVR/TAVI support for adult patients
• Operate and document using Spectrum pumps and the Viper system within an EPIC electronic health record environment
• Work within a team environment alongside surgeons and fellow perfusionists across two dedicated OR rooms, with access to a robotic room and a hybrid cath lab for TAVR cases
• Participate in call rotation, including overnight and weekend coverage as scheduled
• Complete facility-specific credentialing requirements prior to start, including employment history documentation, proof of clinical activity, and health clearances — plan for a 3–4 week credentialing timeline
• Badge in and out of the facility at all times; facility-provided ceil blue scrubs are worn on unit

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent, related perfusionist experience
• Active BLS certification — must be American Heart Association (AHA)
• North Dakota does not require a state perfusionist license
• Willingness and ability to participate in call rotation
• Must have evidence of at least 40 clinical encounters within the last 12 months
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission date
• Must live more than 80 miles from the facility to be eligible for standard contract rates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) certification preferred
• Experience with Spectrum pumps and Viper documentation systems
• Familiarity with robotic valve procedures and hybrid cath lab environments
• Experience performing HIPEC procedures (required only if floating to a secondary campus location)
