Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Pediatrics for a travel nursing job in Rochester, Minnesota. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a highly advanced pediatric cardiac surgery intensive care setting. The nurse will coordinate direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care, supporting professional nursing practice across the continuum of care. Job Details Position Description: The registered nurse (RN) supports the organization through direct patient care, education, and care transitions in a pediatric cardiac ICU. Responsibilities include managing cardiac monitoring, central and arterial line care, pacemaker management, and collaborating within a specialized pediatric cardiothoracic team. The RN functions within the nursing professional practice model, demonstrating accountability for planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care for pediatric patients with complex cardiac needs. Required Qualifications: RN license by applicable state requirements, a minimum of 2 years of pediatric cardiovascular ICU experience, 6 months of previous travel experience (1 year preferred), and at least one year of recent applicable RN experience if graduated from a non-accredited nursing program. Current BLS certification (or equivalent), and additional certifications such as ACLS and PALS as required. Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, with day/night rotation (0700-1930 and 1900-0730), every 3rd weekend. The assignment duration is 13 weeks, with an option for 48 hours guaranteed that can be discussed at the offer. Floating to other pediatric care areas within the organization may be required, including NICU and general pediatric units. Additional Information: The role requires strong cardiac monitoring skills, management of central and arterial lines, pacemaker management, and experience with heart transplants. ECMO experience is a plus but not required. The assignment commences on 09/14/2026 and ends on 12/22/2026.
