Pipefitter Welder

We're seeking a Pipefitter Welder in Lexington, KY to fabricate and weld HVAC piping systems for commercial construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Weld pipe joints for HVAC systems using TIG, stick, or MIG processes

• Fit and assemble piping components prior to welding

• Read and interpret welding symbols and specifications

• Perform visual inspections and quality checks on welds

• Install and weld piping for chilled water, steam, and hydronic systems

• Coordinate with pipefitters on fabrication and installation sequences

• Maintain welding equipment and ensure proper gas supplies

• Follow safety protocols including hot work permits and PPE requirements

Requirements
Must-Haves

• 3+ years of pipe welding experience in commercial construction

• Current welding certifications (TIG, stick, or both)

• Ability to weld carbon steel and stainless steel pipe

• Understanding of welding codes and quality standards

• Proficiency with welding equipment and safety procedures

Nice-to-Haves

• ASME or AWS welding certifications

• Experience with x-ray and pressure testing procedures

• Knowledge of orbital welding and automated processes

• OSHA 10-hour construction safety certification
