Shipping Clerk
Responsible for preparing, packaging, and shipping customer orders accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position verifies work orders, organizes inventory, assists with product assembly, and operates shipping software and equipment to ensure timely deliveries. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable using computers and shipping systems, able to lift up to 50 pounds, and committed to maintaining a safe, organized, and productive work environment. Experience with UPS WorldShip, FedEx shipping software, or forklift operation is a plus but not required.
Pay rate & scheduled:
- $18.00 per hour
- 1st Shift: Monday – Friday - 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Job requirements & responsibilities:
- Verify and prepare customer orders for shipment according to work orders.
- Package, label, and organize products for shipping.
- Sort and stock products on shelves and in designated storage locations.
- Assist with light assembly as needed.
- Operate shipping software, computers, and shipping equipment.
- Use UPS and FedEx shipping systems (experience is a plus, but not required).
- Operate a forklift/lift truck as needed.
- Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient shipping area.
- Previous warehouse or shipping experience preferred.
- UPS WorldShip and/or FedEx shipping software experience is a plus.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift.
- Forklift experience is helpful but not required.
- Must be dependable with strong attention to detail.
