Job Details

o Specialty: General Surgery
o Board Certification: Board Certified preferred, but open to BE
o Assignment Duration: 3 months to start, possibility for extension
o Schedule: M-F, if OR day, start around 7:30a, if clinic day start around 8a. Rarely does an OR day go past 2 or so. On clinic days, generally a full day. Low volume call.
o Types of Cases: Bread & butter general surgery
Endoscopy/Colonoscopy Required?: Yes
Any Vascular, Thoracic, or Other Specialty Procedures?: No
o Minimum Experience Required: 5 years give or take
o Patient Ages: 18 and up, generally ship Peds however occasional emergent through the OR
o Patient Volume: 30 colonoscopy's per week, 5-10 general surgery, office visits 18 per day, minor office procedures - Lesions, etc.
o Support Staff: Full compliment of OR staff, RN's and OR Techs, two assigned MA's in clinic, NP supporting/own patients
o EMR System: Cerner Community Works
