Forklift Mechanic

Our client is a globally known food manufacturer with multiple locations in the US. Due to growth, seeking a Forklift Mechanic to join the Maintenance staff at the plant in NJ. Primary responsibilities include:

• Perform preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance on forklifts to maximize equipment reliability, safety, and warehouse productivity.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, brake, mast, and mechanical systems using manufacturer specifications and technical manuals.
• Inspect, test, adjust, and return forklifts to safe operating condition while maintaining compliance with workplace safety standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, manage replacement parts, and support continuous equipment performance through organized, efficient repair practices.

Position reports to Maintenance Manager.

Ideal candidates for Forklift Mechanic will possess the following:

• High School diploma or GED. Will consider vocational, trade school, or military training in forklift / warehouse machinery repair.
• Certified forklift operator
• Understanding of OSHA and safety standards

Pay rate $25-27/hr based on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k match, FSA, etc.

Pay Details: $25.00 to $27.00 per hour
