Job Summary
Stepdown/Tele Nursing - Henderson, KY. This role involves providing specialized care within a busy stepdown unit, focusing on patients requiring advanced cardiac and respiratory support. The position requires a skilled RN with experience in stepdown or progressive care settings to deliver quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Current active compact nursing license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS certification, Associate Degree or Certificate, minimum of 2 years as RN including at least one solid year of stepdown or progressive care experience.
• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week minimum, with potential for 48-hour shifts upon request.
• Clinical responsibilities include initiating and titrating insulin, heparin, and cardiac drips, managing sepsis, CHF, COPD, DKA, cirrhosis, dementia, surgical urology, abdominal, and orthopedic cases.
• Recent EPIC charting experience required, with checkoff training provided.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• The unit features 10 bed Stepdown (SDU) with ratios of 1:4-5 during days and 1:5-6 during night shifts, alongside 15 tele beds with 1:5-6 and 1:6 ratios, respectively.
• Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills, be resilient, a hard worker, and adaptable to change.
• Candidates should be social, capable of managing multiple responsibilities, and able to handle precepting of students or new hires.
• The position involves working in a smaller, team-oriented facility with experienced staff and excellent retention.
