We are currently seeking compassionate and friendly Patient Service Representative to join our team within a dental office setting. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff both in person and over the phone. As a Patient Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for patients, responsible for scheduling appointments, answering inquiries, and ensuring a smooth and efficient registration process.

Job Type: Temp-Hire , Full Time

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and visitors with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
• Answer phone calls and assist callers with scheduling appointments, inquiries, and general information.
• Register patients by accurately collecting and verifying demographic and insurance information.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure efficient patient flow.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations and referrals.
• Collect co-payments and payments for services rendered.
• Maintain patient records and ensure the confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and inventory management.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a plus.
• Previous experience in a customer service or healthcare setting preferred.
• Previous experience assisting with BH and prenatal department preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in using computer systems and electronic health records (EHR) software.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients and their families.
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is Required.
