Our specialties at Puffer-Sweiven include: Process Control & Safety Systems Control Valves & Regulators Isolation Valves & Actuation Oil & Gas Automation Reliability Solutions & Services Pressure Management Specialty Pumps & Rotating Equipment Instrumentation Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare proposals/quotes including product sizing, selection and pricing. Interact with customers on a day-to-day basis providing technical, commercial and general sales support. Evaluate RFQ’s for testing, documentation and technical content to ensure proposed solutions meet customer requirements. Manage workload and engage available internal and external resources as required to meet customer deadlines. Manage change of customer requirements to quotations and active orders reducing non-conformance while driving customer satisfaction. Proactively follow up with customers on quotations achieving a high hit rate of conversion to orders and ensuring customer satisfaction. Participate in customer meetings as required to ensure clear communication of customer requirements. Work with Sales Assistant in post award activities to ensure customer expectations are exceeded and drive customer satisfaction. Develop and maintain a high level of technical proficiency with products represented. Develop and maintain a high level of proficiency with internal business system and principal supplied sizing tools. Evaluate and suggest improvements to team processes and tools that will improve efficiency and increase customer dependency. Incorporate Salesforce CRM into daily activities by logging customer interactions, quotations, orders, projects, and initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Knowledge: Associates or BS/BA degree in a technical discipline preferred or combination of applicable education and experience. Technical knowledge/understanding of relief valves, rupture discs, and tank protection products preferred. Experience/Skills: 3-5 years as an inside sales representative or equivalent in a technical sales environment. High level of PC proficiency including MS Office, principal supplied software, internal business system and internet. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
