Audit Staff Accountant

About the Opportunity
A well-established regional CPA and advisory firm in the Akron-Canton area is looking for an Audit Associate to join its assurance practice. You'll work on audits, reviews, and compilations for a variety of clients, learn from experienced professionals, and build a strong foundation with a clear path to Audit Senior.

You'll work on audits, reviews, and compilations for a variety of clients, learn from experienced professionals, and build a strong foundation with a clear path to Audit Senior.
What You'll Do
- Perform audit procedures and testing on engagements for private companies and nonprofits
- Prepare workpapers and supporting documentation
- Assist with financial statement preparation and disclosures
- Interact with client personnel to gather information
- Identify issues and communicate them to seniors and managers
- Learn audit software and firm methodology
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 0-2 years of audit experience in public accounting (internships count)
- CPA-eligible or actively pursuing the CPA (preferred)
- Solid Excel and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Clear communication and a team-first attitude
- Base salary of $50,000 - $70,000, depending on experience
