Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Physical Therapy ServicesAssess the need for developmental motor servicesPlan, implement, and revise appropriate motor plans for children and familiesProvide the services directly to children and families or as a consultant to other service providersDemonstrate knowledge of and ability to apply the coaching model approach, with strong collaborative documentation skills to support family-centered practices.Document all services, activities, and consultations within areas of training and expertiseService CoordinationCollaborate with families in a non-judgmental, healthy, helpful relationshipComplete Individual Service Plans that focus on regular routines within the context of the family's life that enhance each child's developmentDocument all service coordination activitiesConnect families with appropriate resources and support services within agency and the broader communityCoordinate and collaborate care between professionalsTransdisciplinaryCollaborate in joint program planning through mutual team supportInitiative in sharing knowledge and generating ideas with team members to support continuous program improvement.Supervise student interns or volunteers as appropriateProfessional DevelopmentDemonstrate professional conduct and ethical practice at all timesEndorse The Warren Center philosophy of service delivery, policies, and proceduresParticipate in continuing education and impart knowledge gained to other staffServe as a resource for agency and community as opportunities arise.Actively engage in problem solving to support self, team, and organizational goalsEducation and ExperienceEducationRequired: Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in the field of physical therapyPreferred: Master's Degree or aboveLicensure/Certification/RegistrationRequired: Licensed or in process of applying for such licensure as required by state board or committeeRequired: Adult, Child, Infant first aid, CPR and AED certificationExperienceRequired: Employment or practicum experience working with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and/or their families.Additional Technical Skills, Traits and KnowledgeHigh energy and passion for The Warren Center's mission is essentialStrong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with children, families, team members, physicians, and professionals; ability to appropriately observe professional boundaries.Organizational skills and ability to independently meet the demands of a large caseload, such as scheduling, documenting, meeting timelines.Ability to work a flexible schedule including evening visits if warranted.Skills in conflict management, negotiation and resolution, teamwork, and ability to work amid distractions.Ability to travel independently to and from client homes.EnvironmentModerate to heavy physical exertion, including pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 50 poundsKneeling, stooping, sitting on floor, rising from sitting, walking, standingGood visionAbility to read, write, and perform simple math.Ability to create methodologies and strategies to accomplish goals.Ability to analyze and synthesize data, develop plans, strategies, and outcomes based on data analysis.Ability to use common office equipment.Knowledge and use of computer technology applications utilized by The Warren Center.Work is performed in an office shared by several people, therapeutic playroom, child-care setting or client home.Work includes driving to and from many settingsEqual Opportunity EmployerThe Warren Center is an Equal Opportunity Employer and we believe in an inclusive culture for all.
