The role involves conducting procedures or tests for diverse patient populations. A thorough understanding of the testing equipment is essential, including its design, functionality, indications for use, physiological impacts on patients, and basic maintenance. The candidate should be knowledgeable about anatomy and physiology, both normal and abnormal, as it relates to the procedures performed. Familiarity with various diseases and pathological conditions is also necessary. Responsibilities may include intraoperative monitoring, evoked potentials, nerve conduction studies, and electroencephalography (EEG) testing.

• A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• Graduation from an accredited Electroneurodiagnostic Technology (ENDT) program or a similar educational background is preferred.
• Experience in the relevant specialty or applicable healthcare experience is advantageous.

Knowledge of neuroanatomy, physiology, basic electronics, and electrical safety is required, along with a general understanding of EEG and evoked potentials (EP) instrumentation, pattern recognition, and various medical and pharmacological conditions. Completion of a department-approved training program is also necessary.

• Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (REEGT)
• Registered Evoked Potentials Technologist (REPT)
• Certified Nerve Conduction Technologist (CNCT)
• Registered Nerve Conduction Study Technologist (R.NCS.T)

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within six weeks of employment, with re-certification as needed.
