Prep Chef / Line Cook

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Prep/Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality ingredients and dishes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring every plate meets our standards of excellence. Your culinary expertise will contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences, whether in a fine dining setting or high-volume production kitchen. Duties Prepare ingredients and components for menu items, adhering strictly to recipes and presentation standards Cook and assemble dishes efficiently on the line during service hours, maintaining consistency and quality Operate various kitchen equipment safely, including grills, braising pans, poaching stations, and food prep tools Follow food safety sanitizing procedures diligently to ensure a clean and safe working environment Assist with menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation methods Maintain proper food handling techniques to prevent cross-contamination and ensure freshness Support high-volume food production for catering events or large dining services while adhering to portion control and recipe adherence Qualifications Previous experience in food preparation, restaurant service, or culinary roles is preferred but willing to train the right person Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures is essential Demonstrated knife skills and proficiency in cooking techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and meal preparation Experience operating kitchen equipment safely in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus Strong understanding of food handling regulations and high-volume production processes Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards Must have excellent people and organizational skills and must be willing to be part of a team.
