Driver PositionHomes for Independent Living is seeking a Driver to provide transportation services for our clients. This position will be assigned to a general geographical area and will be responsible to transport adults with disabilities to and from programs and appointments.What will I be doing as a Driver at HIL?Provide reliable transportation for clients to their destination including but not limited to community events, leisure activities, day programs, household errands and medical appointmentsOperate vehicle in a safe manner, abide by all State of Wisconsin traffic lawsAssist clients with getting into and out of vehicleUtilize mobile technology to interact with dispatching staffMaintain vehicle and client documentation per company standardsMaintain the exterior/interior of the vehicleAdhere to policies and procedures regarding vehicle use and transportation.What will I get?Base rate of $15.00/hr.PLUS $1 more Monday-Friday between 2pm-10pmAND $2 more per hour on the weekendsReferral Bonus – Earn $2,000 Bonus per positive referralHealth, Dental, and Vision Insurance401k with ESOP MatchPaid Time off after 60 daysEmployee Assistance Programs and MORE!What is the schedule?Full time, day shift hours with some 2nd shift and every other weekendHoliday rotationWhat are the Qualifications?A High School Diploma, GED/HSED, or equivalent work experienceValid Wisconsin Driver's License with 3 years clean driving recordDemonstrates skill and/or potential in working with individuals with special needs in a supportive environmentExercising courtesy and maintaining individual dignityExercises good personal judgment, critical thinking skills and punctualityDemonstrates professionalism, confidentiality and strong communication skills.Homes for Independent Living is dedicated to investing in our Owners!
