Headache Neurologist Position Overview The salary range for this position is $200,000-$440,000. This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan. The Department of Neurology at the University of California, Davis, is recruiting a Headache Medicine Neurologist for a full‑time faculty position. The position is open at the Assistant or Associate rank in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor (HSCP) or the Clinical Neurology series. The academic rank of the position is commensurate with the level of experience and qualifications of the applicant. Faculty members provide mainly outpatient and minimal inpatient clinical care; teach medical students, residents and fellows; and provide university/public service. Most clinical responsibilities will focus on neurologic headache and facial pain in the outpatient clinic. The remaining clinical effort will consist of general neurology inpatient attending service. Our outpatient clinic has excellent nursing, staff and neuro‑specialty pharmacological support. The Headache Clinic has grown to a busy clinical operation of excellence with all modalities of therapy. There are close relationships with Neurological Surgery and Pain Medicine with opportunities for collaborative translational research.
