Job Title:  Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU (Recovery Room) – Contract
Location: Westwood, NJ
Unit:  PACU / Recovery Room
Duration:  13 Weeks
Start Date:  05/04/2026
Shift:  Day Shift – 3x12 Hours (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Hours:  36 hours/week
Pay Rate: $2100/week

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced  PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join a fast-paced recovery unit supporting post-operative patients across multiple surgical specialties. This role involves monitoring patients recovering from anesthesia and ensuring safe, high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide post-anesthesia care to patients in Phase I PACU
• Monitor patient recovery, vital signs, and airway status
• Administer medications and manage pain control
• Assist with extubation and respiratory support as needed
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams
• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to clinical protocols

Requirements

• Active  RN License (NJ or Compact)
• Minimum 1 year of recent PACU experience
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certifications (required)
• Experience with  Epic EMR
• Strong skills in airway management and post-op care

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with a variety of surgical cases (ortho, general, neuro, robotics)
• Prior travel experience (not required)

Additional Requirements:

• On-call required
• No local candidates within 50 miles
• Must be flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• First-time travelers accepted
