CLINICAL DIETITIAN

Automation Personnel Services is seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Clinical Dietitian for a hospital in Mobile, AL. This position is responsible for assessing patients' nutritional needs, developing individualized nutrition care plans, providing medical nutrition therapy, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes.

Pay Rate

$31.00 - $36.00 per hour

Schedule and Hours

7:00AM to 7:00PM operating hours; Schedule varies

Clinical Dietitian Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nutrition assessments for patients in acute care, inpatient, and outpatient settings.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans.
• Provide medical nutrition therapy for various disease states, including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, renal disease, gastrointestinal disorders, and malnutrition.
• Educate patients and family members on dietary modifications and nutrition-related health management.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare team members regarding patient care.
• Monitor patient progress and revise nutrition interventions as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, patient care conferences, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and evidence-based nutrition practices.

Clinical Dietitian Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, Food and Nutrition, or related field required.
• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required.
• Current state licensure as a Dietitian/Nutritionist, if applicable.
• One (1) year of clinical nutrition experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy and current nutrition guidelines.
• Excellent communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
