RF Test Technician

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced RF Test Technician to support the testing, calibration, troubleshooting, and optimization of RF systems and assemblies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in RF electronics, system-level testing, and component-level troubleshooting, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform advanced RF testing of products and assemblies operating within the MHz to GHz frequency range.
• Conduct automated system-level testing and calibration using Windows-based test platforms.
• Troubleshoot RF assemblies and electronic circuits to the component level.
• Analyze test results and identify root causes of performance issues.
• Install software and configure Windows-based systems used for testing and production.
• Tune and adjust component values to optimize RF amplifier and system performance.
• Maintain accurate test records and documentation in compliance with quality standards.
• Complete Test Data Records and other required production and quality documentation.
• Ensure proper control and organization of test data and related records.
• Work closely with the Operations Supervisor to prioritize and complete daily and weekly assignments.
• Follow established procedures, work instructions, and quality requirements throughout the testing process.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering, Electronics Technology, or a related technical field, or a technical certificate in Electronics.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an electronics manufacturing, testing, or RF environment.
• Strong background in RF systems and electronic test methodologies.
• Proficiency in the use of RF test equipment, including:
  
  • Spectrum Analyzers
  • Signal Generators
  • Network Analyzers
  • Frequency Counters
  • Power Meters
  • Related RF measurement instruments
• Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics, test procedures, and technical documentation.
• Secret level US Government Security Clearance is a plus!

  • Other RF components
• Knowledge of RF performance characteristics and measurements, including:
  
  • Gain
  • Insertion Loss
  • Return Loss
  • Phase Noise
  • Noise Figure
  • AM/FM Modulation
  • PM Modulation
• Ability to troubleshoot DC, analog, and RF circuits down to the component level.
